Commercial Installation
Build the Sprinkler System From the Current Project Plans
A new commercial fire sprinkler system has to stay coordinated as the building moves from plans into field construction. Florida Fire Solutions installs the system around the approved building layout, structural conditions, ceiling design and other trades so field work follows the project instead of drifting away from it.
This service is for new commercial construction in Hollywood. It is different from modifying an existing sprinkler system for a tenant renovation; our tenant buildout fire sprinkler installation service in Broward County covers that existing-system scope. See our fire protection services for the broader service lineup.
Field Installation
Keep Rough-In, Ceilings and Sprinkler Locations Coordinated
The sprinkler drawings do not exist separately from the rest of the building. Pipe routing, hangers, branch lines and sprinkler locations have to work around structural framing, mechanical systems, lighting, ceilings and the actual conditions found during construction.
We use the current project set to plan the installation and coordinate changes that affect sprinkler work before they become repeated field rework. When ceiling layouts or other building elements move, sprinkler locations may also need to be reviewed so the installed work remains consistent with the applicable fire-protection plans.
Sprinkler Rough-In
We install mains, branch lines, hangers, valves and related sprinkler piping around the building structure and coordinated trade locations shown for the project.
Ceiling Coordination
Sprinkler drops and final head locations are coordinated with the actual ceiling layout so changes in grids, soffits, lighting or other overhead work are addressed before final trim.
Current Plan Set
The field crew needs to work from the current project information. Superseded layouts can create conflicts between installed piping, revised ceilings and the fire-protection design.
Testing and Inspection Preparation
As installation progresses, we prepare completed portions of the sprinkler work for the testing and construction inspections required for the project rather than waiting until ceilings and finishes make access more difficult.
- Provide the current architectural, reflected ceiling and fire-protection plans available for the project.
- Identify major field changes that affect piping routes, sprinkler locations or access before the affected work is finished.
- Coordinate sprinkler rough-in with the construction schedule so required work can remain accessible for the applicable inspections and testing.

Hollywood Project Coordination
Keep the Permit Record, Approved Plans and Field Work Aligned
Hollywood Fire Prevention performs plan review for new construction and fire-protection systems, while the City’s building process also includes plan review and field inspections. For the sprinkler contractor, that makes plan control a field issue—not just a paperwork issue.
Effective August 4, 2026, the City directs all new permit applications through Accela Citizen Access (ACA). The older BCLA ePermit channel is reserved for existing BCLA permits. On a new commercial project, identifying the active permit record and current approved documents helps keep sprinkler revisions, field installation and inspection coordination tied to the same project information.
In practical terms, we install from the current fire-protection scope, coordinate rough-in with the evolving building conditions and address material changes that affect sprinkler work instead of treating an outdated drawing as the field answer. The City’s plan-review process and the contractor’s installation work are related parts of the project, but neither one by itself guarantees final approval.
Approved Plan Coordination
Once the applicable plans are approved, installation should remain consistent with that current set unless project changes are properly coordinated and incorporated.
Construction Changes
Changes to ceilings, walls, structural elements or overhead trades can affect sprinkler routing and final head placement. Catching those conflicts during construction reduces avoidable removal and reinstallation.
Inspection Access
Sprinkler work should be sequenced so the portions requiring inspection or testing can still be seen and reached before surrounding finishes make access harder.
Common questions
Commercial Fire Sprinkler Installation Questions
Is this service for new construction or an existing tenant buildout?
This page covers a new commercial building sprinkler installation. A renovation that modifies sprinklers already serving an existing building is handled as a tenant-buildout or alteration project.
What plans should I send for an installation quote?
Send the current architectural plans and any available fire-protection, reflected ceiling or related construction drawings. If the project is still developing, we can identify which missing information materially affects the sprinkler scope.
Why does ceiling coordination matter during sprinkler installation?
Sprinkler locations have to work with the finished building layout. Changes in ceiling grids, soffits, lighting or other overhead components can affect where sprinkler drops and heads can be installed, so those changes should be coordinated before final trim.
Which Hollywood permit system is used for a new application?
The City of Hollywood states that all new permit applications moved to Accela Citizen Access effective August 4, 2026. The older BCLA channel is for existing BCLA permits rather than new applications.
